Job Summary:
To carry out high-quality TIG and ARC welding operations on carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel materials for the fabrication and repair of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and structural components in accordance with ASME Section IX and relevant project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• • Perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (ARC) welding in 6G position and various other welding positions as per job requirement.
  • Weld small-bore piping, pressure parts, and critical joints with high accuracy and minimal distortion.
  • Interpret and follow approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR, and weld maps.
  • Ensure weld quality meets ASME, API, and client specification standards.
  • Conduct self-inspection and coordinate with QC for weld visual and NDT clearance.
  • Maintain welding equipment, consumables, and tools in proper working condition.
  • Follow company safety policies, permit-to-work procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Participate in weld test qualifications and periodic performance revalidation as required.
  • Support fabrication and erection teams during workshop and site operations.
  Qualifications & Experience:
  • Trade Certificate / Diploma in Welding or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems in oil & gas or heavy fabrication workshops.
  • Must be 6G qualified in TIG + ARC welding processes.
  • Proven skill in welding carbon steel, alloy steel (e.g., P11/P22), and stainless steel (SS304/SS316).
  • Familiarity with ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, and related codes & standards.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, weld maps, and isometrics.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with valid third-party welding certificates (BV, TUV, LR, ABS, DNV, etc.).
