Dolphin Group – Environmental Policy
Dolphin Group (DOES / Dolphin) is committed to leading in environmental stewardship across its operations in the UAE and beyond. As a designer and manufacturer of heat exchanger systems and thermal solutions, we recognize that our activities can impact the natural environment. It is our duty to manage those impacts responsibly, continuously improve, and conduct our business in a sustainable manner.
1. Scope & Purpose
This Policy applies to all Dolphin Group operations, facilities, manufacturing sites, and service activities across the UAE, including design, production, maintenance, and delivery of heat exchanger systems. It sets out our commitments to reduce environmental risks, meet legal obligations, and foster sustainable practices.
2. Principles & Commitments
- a. Protection of the Environment & Pollution Prevention
We endeavor to prevent pollution and reduce waste generation at source, aiming to eliminate or minimize significant environmental aspects of our operations. All efforts will be made to adopt cleaner technologies, material-efficient designs, recycling, recovery, and safe disposal practices.
- b. Continuous Improvement & IMS Integration
We pursue ongoing improvement in our Environmental Management System (EMS) within the framework of our Integrated Management System (IMS). Through periodic review, we will enhance processes, adopt best practices, and elevate the environmental performance of our products and services.
- c. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
Dolphin commits to comply with all applicable UAE federal and emirate-level environmental laws, regulations, permits, and other binding requirements. Where feasible, we will aim to exceed minimum legal standards in seeking environmental excellence.
- d. Performance Monitoring & Objectives
We will define, track, measure, and review environmental objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Through audits, inspections, incident investigations, and management reviews, we aim to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them.
- e. Resource Allocation & Employee Involvement
We shall provide the necessary financial, technical, and human resources to implement this policy effectively. Our employees, contractors, and partners will be trained, educated, and encouraged to act in accordance with this policy and contribute proactively.
- f. Stakeholder Engagement & Transparency
We will communicate relevant environmental performance, targets, and progress to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and the public, in a transparent and responsible manner. We welcome feedback and ideas to further reduce environmental impacts across our value chain.
3. Roles & Responsibilities
- Top Management
Uphold this policy, allocate resources, ensure that environmental goals align with business objectives, and lead by example.
- Environmental / IMS Team
Develop, maintain, and monitor the EMS; assist in audits and reviews; support corrective and preventive initiatives.
- Department Heads & Project Leads
Translate the policy into departmental objectives and action plans, ensure staff awareness, and integrate environmental thinking into decision-making.
- Employees & Contractors
Adhere to environmental procedures, participate in training, report environmental concerns or deviations, and cooperate in continuous improvement.
4. Policy Review & Continual Update
This Environmental Policy will be reviewed at least annually, or more frequently if significant changes in operations, regulations, or performance occur. Any revisions will be approved by top management and communicated to all staff and relevant stakeholders.
